Character list for dystopian story

I just came up with an idea for a new story today.  A post-apocalyptic story where all minorities in the "Ruling States of Apeericon" must conform or be killed.  My story will follow six different young adults as they are sent to a torturous theme park.  Think Goosebumps Horrorland meets Concentration Camps.  This story sounds incredibly depressing, and gruesome now... It's also a story of hope, love, and friendship I promise.

Something you need to know, last names are also gone, instead everyone has their own letters and numbers.  Example - A8494, AA6224, AAA0053.  They go A0001-A9000, then B, and so on.  Then they start AA0001-AA9000, then BB0001-BB9000, etc.  Then again with 3 of the letter.  Those born in January are A's-C's (some C's roll over into February), November and December get V, W, X, Y, and Z.

Name - Kaiden (pronounce KI-den) AAA8535
Gender - Male
Age - 18
Race - White
About - Dating Dax/Jaza.  Tries to run away to Caniden.  Enjoys running, singing, painting, and working with young children in the town nursery.
Reason for being sent to the Park: Two reasons, 1) He's gay.  2) He is allowing Dax/Jazza to continue to identify as transgender, instead of turning him into the authorities.

Name - (Birth name) Jaza (pronounced Jazz-uh) EEE1729, (chosen name) Dax.
Gender - Transgender Male
Age - 18
Race - White
About - Dating Kaiden.  Tries to run away to Caniden.  Enjoys volunteering with people, running, swimming, shopping (mostly for others), and tutoring school children.

Name - Akia (pronounce Ack-ee-uh ZZZ0012
Gender - Female
Age - 16
Race - Black
About - Independant, doesn't rely on other's help, and doesn't really want it.  Loves to exercise, swimming, bicycling, running, hiking, everything.  Also enjoys cooking, but doesn't like to share her talents with others.
Reason for being sent to the Park: For being black.

Name - Keever (pronounced key-ver) HHH0159
Gender - Male
Age - 20
Race - Mixed
About - Keever is not just mixed race (only the more white of which are allowed), he is also asexual and panromantic.  He has been forced to do hard physical labor for the four of the six years prior to this story, and has been at the park for two years already.
Reason for being sent to the Park: Three reasons, 1) Mixed Race.  2) Asexual.  3) Panromantic.

Name - Larik (pronounced lar-rick)
Gender - Male
Age - 15
Race - White
About - Darik's identical twin brother.  Prefers playing piano, and playing video games inside with his brother rather than going out and exercising.  Very intelligent.  The twins would switch out who went to school so they didn't get caught.
Reason for being sent to the Park: Having a twin.

Crisscross part 1

This is part one of my new story, entitled "Crisscross".  The name may change, soon.  It is a project I am doing where I will publish a barely edited piece each week here, then when the story is over I will put each piece together and edit them.

The pencil on my paper made a little criss cross noise, as I drew small x's as shading in my picture.  It was a technique I wasn't used to using, but it was good practice.
I looked up, the scenery rushing by.  The trees and hills blurred as the train moved through the countryside.  I was pleased that the ride was smooth so I could work on my drawings.  I was going across country by myself, art was a good way to keep myself occupied, and less nervous than I might have been otherwise.
"We will be arriving in Lake Zurah, Washington in about 20 minutes," a voice announced.  This was my stop.
As a child I'd been to Lake Zurah numerous times, my father owned a small farm there, though he didn't actually use the land for farming.  Some of my best friends had lived nearby.  Unfortunately, I'd grown apart from them when my mother decided not to make the trip from Sayton, Georgia to Washington anymore when I was thirteen.  As disappointed as I was I understood how hard things were for my Mom, and honesty, my Dad didn't make it easier.
At the age of eighteen this was the first time I'd see my father in five years.  He'd requested that I visit him.  I was excited, however I was also nervous.
Almost everyone in Lake Zurah was very religious, and most people owned and ran farms.  In town we have the typical small town stores, a diner/gas station, a general store, a post office, a clothing store, and a couple others.  Not really the most exciting town in America.
"We have arrived at Lake Zurah, Wahington, please exit the train, enjoy your stay," I looked out at the dreary station.  The only way it could look sadder and more broken down was if it were raining.  Which, thankfully, it was not.
"Sydney, aren't you a sight for sore eyes!" I heard wheeze from behind me, as I hopped off the train.  I whirled around to see my father, grinning from ear to ear and holding a cigarette in his pale, chapped hands.
"Hey Dad," I smiled tightly, walking towards his now open arms to embrace him.  It had been five years since I last saw him, but clearly not much had changed.
"How've you been?  Feels like it's been at least," he pauses to cough, "ten years since I saw you last!"
"Only five, Dad.  I'm doing fine, how are you?"  He sure sounded awful, wheezing and coughing every couple of seconds.  It wasn't until another coughing fit that I noticed the bottle sticking out of his pocket.
"Dad! Are you drinking, again?!" I yelped.  I wanted to be shocked, in a way I was, but more than shocked I was disappointed.  He's told us he was sober.
"Once in a while I'll have a drink or two, but I've got it under control.  You have nothing to worry about," more coughing. Maybe he was sick, and that's why he's asked me here?
I shook my head, and we trudged toward his ugly little brown car.  For such a bright sunny day it felt depressing enough that I would've have noticed if it were raining, it would have felt more natural.
I climbed in the passenger seat an looked at him expectedly, as if I actually thought he'd talk to me.  He didn't even look at me before starting the car.
"Do you want me to drive, Dad?" I asked gently, glancing at him sideways. He coughed more, then shook his head.
"I'm fine to drive.  We'll be home in no time," I sighed, but didn't fight it.  The ride to his house was painfully silent.

Introduction

Hello,

If you read my other blog (Adventures of a Lifetime) then you'll know a bit about me.  If you don't, here's what you need to know:

I call myself the black rose, because black roses are naturally impossible, and most of my life I felt out of place, or "unnatural".  I accepted it when I decided on what I want to do for the rest of my life.   I am a teenager who dreams of traveling the world and writing books.  My goal is to be a professional travel blogger, author, and photographer.  I write books about many different subjects, both nonfiction and fiction.
My parents are both published authors, and my mom was my inspiration to become an author.  She always told me stories about how she wanted to be a writing when she was younger, but she didn't get published.  Now she has been published twice with nonfiction books, proving to me that if you hold onto your dreams and work hard they will come true!

That's it! I will be posting things I write here for others to read.  I will also be doing summaries, plotlines, and character lists for novels I am working on.  I hope to begin writing serial novels to post at least once a week.
